Serkan Karadas is a financial economist. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from West Virginia University (WVU) in 2014.  Prior to attending WVU, he studied Business Administration at Marmara University in Istanbul and later received his B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Beloit College in Wisconsin. His area of research is Empirical Asset Pricing. His research currently focuses on the effects of politics and political connections on stock returns, and it has policy implications on the way that members of Congress trade stocks. He teaches Corporate Finance, Investments, and Financial Derivatives. Please click on the link below for more information.
