Beth Pride Ford 
Visiting Associate Professor of Economics
Dr. Ford is a Visiting Associate Professor of Economics. She earned her B.S. (1988) and M.S. (1990) degrees in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida, and a Ph.D. (1997) in Agricultural Economics from The Pennsylvania State University.
Steve Ford 
Visiting Associate Professor of Economics
Steve received his B.A. in English from Colby College and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota.
Robin Gottfried 
Professor of Economics
Professor Gottfried is interested in the interrelationships between humans and their natural environment: How and why do people change their environment, what ecological impact does this change have, and how does this impact, in turn, affect other people.
Carl P. Heinemann 
Lecturer in Economics
Professor Heinemann instructs in the Fundamentals of Financial Accounting and in the Fundamentals of Managerial Accounting. His professional interests include business valuation, litigation support, and forensic accounting. He is also faculty advisor to the Sewanee Pre-Business Society, a student organization supported by activity fees.
Yasmeen N. Mohiuddin 
Ralph Owen Distinguished Professor of Economics
A member of the Sewanee faculty since 1981, Yasmeen Mohiuddin did her undergraduate studies at Karachi University in Pakistan, and earned her M.A. and doctorate at Vanderbilt University supported by a Ford Foundation Fellowship. She was the first woman in Pakistan with a Ph.D. in economics.
Robert A. Ott, Jr. 
Assistant Professor of Economics
Dr. Ott is an Assistant Professor of Economics at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. He has been teaching finance and economic classes there for three years. These classes include corporate finance, investments, derivatives and alternative investments, and money, banking, and financial institutions. He is also the faculty advisor to the university’s Investment Club.
Marc St-Pierre 
Assistant Professor of Economics
Marc St-Pierre specializes in the area of game theory and equilibrium theory. He has a B.Sc. in Mathematics and a M.Sc. in Economics from the Université de Sherbrooke in Canada and a Ph.D in Economics from Brown University.
Katherine C. Theyson 
Assistant Professor of Economics
Katherine C. Theyson is an assistant professor of economics, with a focus on the fields of international trade and development. The courses Theyson teaches include introduction to economics, international trade, and international finance.
E. Douglass Williams 
Frank W. Wilson Professor of Economics
Doug Williams is the Frank W. Wilson Professor of Economics. He has a doctorate in economics from Northwestern University, where his studies focused on Labor Economics and Industrial Organization.
